Operation Christmas Child is an organisation that supports children who aren’t as privileged as us. Covid’s been tough on us all, but I can’t imagine how hard it’s been for those families who have had it tough before Covid; it must have hit twice as hard. We have an opportunity to bless them and to give them gifts of not only fun but of love and hope.
We’ve done this in the past couple of years although it’s going to look a little differently this time around. So, instead of packing a box ourselves, all we have to do is hope online to the Samaritan purse website which is on the screen, right now, then select the gender and the age group of the child you want to bless, write them a letter and most importantly pray for them.
alternatively, if you are not in the financial compact to give a box on your own, you can donate $10 which will go towards one of these boxes.
What’s pretty amazing about this organisation, is after the children receive their presents they have an opportunity to enrol in what is called, “The Greatest Journey”. It’s a 12-lesson Bible study course that will help guide the child in what it means to faithfully follow Jesus Christ. If you want more information contact, Michelle
