Peace be with you! We want to keep you updated on what we are doing together to ensure the safety of the fellowship of believers. Social distancing It is recommended that we keep a 1.5m distance from each other when we gather. We want to protect those around us so please refrain from shaking hands, hugging or kissing. Please be sensitive to protect those who are vulnerable amongst us. Philippians 2:3 “Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves” Prevention Sanitiser will be provided at the entrance of the church. Please sanitise your hands prior to taking the stairs. Antibacterial handwash will also be provided if you want to wash your hands at the sink in the Foyer. Communion will be served in disposable cups which will be disposed of after you have partaken of the emblems. Food & Beverages To minimise contamination, we will not be serving any food or drink at church until further notice. Meetings Until further notice we will continue the Hour of Power at 7.30pm on Thursdays, Sunday services (Sinhala & English) and bible studies. Indoor gatherings in Australia is now limited to 100. Based on the government specification of social distancing we can accommodate 20 people in the Foyer, 48 people in the main hall and 10 in the Sunday school room (based on 4sqm per person). We need your help to ensure we can adhere to this government specification. You will receive a text or/and email asking you to register your attendance. If you could let us know if you are attending, we can avoid having to turn people away. This is currently only for the English Service. The Sinhala Service will not require a registration at this stage. If you are unwell, or fall in the category of a vulnerable person, being elderly or having a condition that will weaken your immunity, we ask that you follow the government’s advice and join us from your home. We will be livestreaming our services so you can follow the service online. Our church website includes information both on the livestream and how you can make an offering/tithe online. In the weeks to come we will try to minimise the in-person offerings, for hygiene purposes and would encourage you to consider giving online.
